Puppies will have their first set of puppy shots before going home. They will need a vet appointment at 12 weeks old for their check-up and ONLY second set of puppy vaccinations. Puppies will also need monthly wormer, and I use Pyrantal.
Quick checklist: - Leash and/or harness - Collar (puppy comes with one) - Dog food - Food bowls - ID Tags - Toys and training treats, lots of tennis balls to play fetch, blue wilderness has great, healthy treats - Teething toys, anything KONG is good - Dog Toothpaste - Puppy Shampoo (gentle) - Puppy Comb and Brush - Nail trimmers or file unless you plan to have your groomer take care of this - Pooper Scooper and Poop bags - Lots of paper towels for accidents - Car seat dog cover - DO NOT use Bravecto or Seresto. Can cause severe seizures or even death
Things to avoid: > Goldendoodles are known for eating small things, and they will find anything they should not. > Stuffing and rope toys are fun but should all be carefully supervised and only when you are there with them. > Garlic, onions, grapes, chocolate, alcohol, and Poinsettia plants are all very poisonous for dogs!
Food
I am feeding the puppies Nutri Source.
Things your puppy will come home with:
> Toy and Blanket with mom's scent to help the him/her adjust > Vet Check Certificate with up-to-date vaccines and deworming > 2 year genetic health guarantee
Pet Insurance
I highly recommend buying pet insurance for your puppy. The cost of vet visits are expensive, especially if it is an unexpected emergency visit. Not all insurances pay the same as I found out from my personal experiences. They will help you decide which plan is best for you and your puppy.
